NFFL CODE OF CONDUCT

As a player, coach, parent, spectator, or official, I commit to upholding the standards outlined in the Novato Flag Football League’s Code of Conduct at all times. In doing so, I pledge to:

Practice Good Sportsmanship

Good sportsmanship is built on the following core values:

  • Respect: Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and officials with respect.
  • Integrity: Play honestly and abide by the rules.
  • Fairness: Prioritize fair play in all situations.
  • Empathy: Encourage and uplift teammates, helping them achieve their best.
  • Discipline: Stay committed to respectful behavior, even during challenging moments.
  • Self-Control: Maintain composure and control emotions in all circumstances.

Adhere to League Rules and Policies

  • Follow the rules, guidelines, and eligibility requirements of Novato Flag Football League, a grade-based league.
  • Support a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free environment at all partner facilities.
  • Comply with the no-pet policy on partner campuses.
  • Dispose of trash properly, whether it’s your own or found at the venue.
  • Follow any site-specific rules, including parking and traffic flow.
  • Prioritize safety above all else when participating in or attending league events.

Prohibited Behaviors

I pledge to NEVER:

  • Use profanity at any NFFL event.
  • Criticize officials, players, or coaches.
  • Use aggressive or hostile language toward opposing players, coaches, or officials.
  • Physically engage with any player, coach, or official in a threatening manner.

By acknowledging this waiver, I/we, as the registered player and family, agree to exemplify sportsmanship and ethical behavior as outlined above. Unsportsmanlike conduct—including, but not limited to, fighting, profanity, or excessive physical play—will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or removal from participation without a refund.
